Welcome New Faculty: Dr. Mosopefoluwa Lanlokun

Mosopefoluwa “Sope” Lanlokun

Mosopefoluwa “Sope” Lanlokun is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in the Division of Allergy and Immunology.

She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Neurobiology and a minor in Spanish. While in college, she was inducted into several honor societies. Lanlokun received her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and subsequently completed her Pediatrics residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She recently completed her Allergy and Immunology fellowship at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. 

Lanlokun's research interests include asthma and food allergies, particularly with regard to the role of social determinants of health. She is passionate about health equity and plans to pursue professional opportunities to develop a better understanding of social determinants of health to impact her clinical practice and research. She also values mentorship and currently serves as a mentor to students in both college and medical school.
