Waverly Duck Wins Charles Horton Cooley Book Award

University of Pittsburgh faculty member Waverly Duck has won the Society for the Study of Symbolic Interaction’s (SSSI) Charles Horton Cooley Book Award for “Tacit Racism.” The book, co-authored with Ann Warfield Rawls, was published by University of Chicago Press. It lays out the many ways in which racism is coded into the everyday social interactions of Americans.
