Gooden is incoming co-editor/Editor of flagship journal of Linguistics

Shelome Gooden is newly elected incoming co-editor/Editor of Language, the flagship journal of the Linguistic Society of America. Language publishes peer-reviewed articles dealing with issues in linguistic theory and a wide range of subfields of linguistics. Gooden is the first black woman and the second Pitt linguist to hold this position. Gooden is Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research in the Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Related Fields and Professor in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Pittsburgh.
